And for some reason it looks adorable, even if it's plain wrong...
I always wanted to draw this hybrid since someone metioned the word "pikapuff" back on my starmen.net lurking days. Have fun!
Smash 64 really encourages me to pretend that Jigglypuff is Pikachu's partner, be it a best-friend or a love-interest!
Although I would much rather have or neither both Pichu & Igglybuff on Smash, or both Pichu & Igglybuff in Smash, for me it feels odd to have one related counterpart and not the other (even though I know Pichu evolves into the Pokémon mascot who isn't Jigglypuff at all, and people would then complain about Pokémon overload in Smash).
Unlike Wigglytuff, Raichu now has a scrapped evolution called Gorochu, like jeesus christ. Also, zigaudrey had me thinking of giving Pichu (Empchu) and Raichu (Pachu) their own lines of growing-up rather than evolving, leaving Jigglypuff with another lack of evolutionary feature equivalence to Pikachu.
But at least both Pikachu and Jigglypuff have Male & Female Protagonist Trainer Hats in Smash 4!
In conclusion, my simplest yet upgraded form of evolving Pikachu and Jigglypuff are:
•Pichu × Igglybuff
•Piachu × Squigglyfluff
•Pikachu × Jigglypuff (obviously)
•Birichu × Gigglyruff
•Raichu × Wigglytuff
InProgressPokemon coined the 2nd & 4th versions of those two's evolution-stages, I believe.
