Is time to start another special drawings series. For the next months I will randomly (well not so much) draw different personalities from avrious video game series. Expect a bunch of well known faces as well as some obscure ones.
Nature's Punishment! D:<
Nakoruru is the most popular character from the Samurai Shodown/Spirits fighting series. She sure stands out from most video game females designs, and brought and interesting twist to a fighting style since she uses her pet hawk Mamahaha to fight along her.
And for some reason Nakoruru and Morrigan (character from Darkstalkers who I drew recently), are considered rivals between SNK and Capcom rivalry. I find that funny because they are very different. While Nako has a more cute and innocent look, Morrigan is in the sexy and flirtatious side.
..those two are rivals? Strange. It's not only weird because they're so different, but they don't even have anything commonly in opposition to each other....they're just.....completely different.
Anyway, yeah, "always playing as the girl character in fighting games" = guilty for me. Since she was more or less the only one in SS, I always played as her. (I know there was Charlotte, but eh.) And really with all that she can do quickly, she's a pretty solid fighter, just kind of light on damage, more of a hit-and-run quick fighter.
Errr Scratch that. I haven't "Always thought" considering you just brought this rivalry thing to my attention. My brain's kinda fried, as you can probably tell.

es tan tierna me gusta ganarle a todos con ella aunque... es mas facil con Yuri pero Nakoruru es tierna y tiene un halcon por eso me cae bien (que simplona llego a ser a veces )

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.

I always would have thought B.Jenet would be a more suitable rival for Morrigan.
Anyway, I have to say, Nakoruru looks perfect in your art style. But... her hawk? Nakoruru just isn't complete without her hawk.
